Eyebrow Waxing
Waxing your eyebrows is a method that can be adjusted to fit your time and budget. There are do it yourself kits that can be bought at any drugstore, department store or online or you can have this performed at a salon. There are many different options nowadays when it comes to hair removal; though waxing still remains one of the most dependable and popular ways in which we choose to remove unwanted body hair. Removing facial hair is always a worry, as well as being highly visible; it is a very sensitive and delicate area of the body which should be looked after with care and attention. Waxing is performed using specially designed strips of soft plastic which are already cut into the particular shape you have chosen for your eyebrows. There are many different pre-cut strips available in the stores or you can have them cut especially for your particular brow line, though this can cost a little more if you require the help of a technician. The placement of the strips over the brow is tricky and intricate, it is very important to make sure that you get the exact position before pressing the wax down securely on to the hairs.
Following Proper Procedures
Once you have made perfectly sure that you know where you need to apply the wax then you can start by applying a light layer of wax with the spatula, make sure that you apply it in the same direction as the hair growth and always start with the area under the eye first. Gently press the muslin fabric strips along the layer of wax, pressing it into place and stroke along the strip in the direction of the hairs in order to flatten them into the wax. Once the wax is applied it should be left for a few minutes or until the wax has begun to harden.
Once the wax is set you can remove the strips along with the hair. This need to be done by pulling the strip sharply against the growth of the hair and a swift quick movement is best so that you encounter the least amount of pain. The final points to remember when you decide to wax eyebrows it to never wax above the brow line, all the shaping should happen beneath the brow and never remove too much at a time, take little bits off slowly so that you avoid making any unwanted mistakes.
Finally, there are many soothing balms and creams available, most good waxing kits will already contain one, which you should apply after waxing so that the skin is kept clean and soothed after the waxing is complete.
