How To Get Rid Of Underarm Razor Bumps

Underarm razor bumps can be a pain, literally! When we attend trade shows, we normally get asked a lot of questions from women about razor bumps under the arms.  Here is a brief article outlining some of the advice we give to our customers suffering from underarm razor bumps.

First, we advise prior to any shaving to cleanse and exfoliate the skin.  This helps to prevent the occurrence of razor bumps. Although, if you already have bumps under the arms, do not attempt to exfoliate as this will aggravate the skin even more.  By exfoliating the skin, you help remove the hardened cells that form within the pores of the skin.  These clogged pores cause hair to grow under the skin.

Secondly, you want to be sure to use a single blade razor. An even better alternative is an electric razor.  If you don't have the use of an electric razor, just be sure that you are not using a multiple blade razor because these razors promote ingrown hairs and makes these hairs have sharper tips. Be sure not to shave too close to the skin as well.
