Being Overweight in Japan is Illegal
Always follow the money....
While you do not go to jail for being overweight in Japan, your company many be paying a hefty price for you being considered hefty yourself. When I first heard this of course I was taken aback for a brief moment. Instantly I figured out what this was all about. I am sure many of you were or are screaming inside about your personal rights and liberties to be overweight, obese, or fat. This is not the case with this law when you look a little closer.
In 1976, what is Russia used to be the U.S.S.R. (United Soviet Socialist Republic). At that time in Russians lives when it came to healthcare, the government was paying the bill. The USSR scientists and doctors knew the dangers of eating unhealthy, radiated or microwave food. The government banned the use of microwaves throughout the whole country. Why make someone sick only to have to turn around and pay for the sickness that you just caused? If you did not know that radiating your food makes it toxic and somewhere between unhealthy and dangerous, know you know.
Japan is simply following in similar footsteps. The corporations of Japan and its government are tied to each other for medical healthcare for its people. Guys who have a 34 inch waistline and girls who have a 36 inch waistline are now costing their employers significant extra monies for what they consider a state of unhealthiness. The facts are, by being overweight you have already proven to cost more medically. I watched a video of this on CNN and they profiled a typical Japanese lunch. Fish, rice, and miso soup were all of 600 calories. A burger, fries, and soda at McDonalds were 1,300 calories.
Japanese employees are now taking stairs instead of elevators. Getting exercise music pumped into the workplace twice daily for stretching and stationary calisthenics. There are exercise stations on every other floor now too while you are using the stairways.
Talk is cheap and numbers never lie. Because Japanese people eat healthier including lots of fish, rice, and fresh or lightly cooked vegetables, they live longer and healthier lives. They eat almost zero wheat and bread products. Right now in Japan, 3% of the female population is considered obese or overweight. In the United States, 34% of women are obese or overweight and climbing higher. The statistic of new diabetics is double in the past 20 years and still climbing. A life-expectancy for women in Japan is 85; it is 80 if you live in America.
Japanese people do not run to their doctors and medicate themselves like Americans. In the end, this is not a human rights story. This is not a story of victims and crime. This is a story of dollars and sense, common sense that is.
1 in 14,000,000 people has a chance of winning the lottery. 1 in 6,000,000 will die in a plane or jet crash. 1 in 4,000,000 will die in an automobile accident. 1 in 2 will die of heart disease. 1 in 3 is diabetic or pre-diabetic. Heart disease kills more people that the next 6 diseases and car accidents combined. Your heart and arteries need your help. Your kid's hearts and arteries are going to be worse. Wake up people. We can change this for you by doing one simple thing. We share how to cleanse your whole arterial system. While you are at it, you may wish to start with a colon cleanse first. Wake up. Dr. Mike
