Beyond Mens Electric Shavers: How Men Can Get Smoother Faces

Since time immemorial, beauty and good looks have always been on the top of almost everyone's list. From generation to generation, those whose looks differ or deviate from the popular standard is considered ugly, unwanted, and undesirable. And so, people try to keep up with the standards of beauty. In the case of men (and in almost all women), a smooth and hairless face definitely is within standards. Even a little bit of facial hair could stay acceptable. But, when you stop using your mens electric shavers and allow your facial hair to flourish into a thick jungle, your good looks could suffer.

Face hair, of course, is natural for men. Some men grow only a little, while others grow a little bit more than usual. If you keep the growth of your face hair uncontrolled, you could be in for some difficulty. For one, many people may find you either ugly or eccentric. Another is that too much facial hair can actually get in the way of your job hunt. Yet another is the hassle of having to deal with too much face hair growth right before you set out for the day.

Is there something you can do to control the excessive growth of your facial hair? There are several effective ways. Besides plucking (which can be painful) and traditional shaving (which can cut your skin), the most popular ones are described below.

Mens electric shavers. These are no ordinary razors. They are battery-operated or run on electricity from direct current. They work as effectively as regular shaves, minus the hassle. Moreover, with these electric razors, you avoid nicking your face accidentally with the shaving blade because the blade has a protective cover. Using electric shavers also saves you time in shaving, as they work faster because of the automatic and mechanical components.

Hair waxing. This method is commonly used by women, especially when removing hair from their legs. But, men can use this method, too, to remove facial hair. The effect of hair waxing is only temporary, though surely longer-lasting than mere shaving.

Hair-inhibiting medication. Also known as hair inhibitors, such products help reduce your facial hair by slowing down its growth. Using them also does not take up a lot of time or a lot of hassle. Hair inhibitors are usually sold as sprays and lotions. They are safe to use, as well. Hair inhibitors, however, do not remove facial hair. Instead, they just reduce the amount of growth.

Depilating solutions. Usually sold as creams or gels, depilating products do remove face hair. If you want a less painful solution to remove hair, use depilating products. However, they do not stop the growth of hair on your face. The effect of depilating solutions is only temporary.

Laser removal. If you choose to have your facial hair removed by laser treatment, the effect will be permanent. Although best performed by a specialist or professional, you can actually also try the procedure at home if you have some know-how. Laser removal involves killing the hair follicles. With dead hair follicles, hair won't grow back.

For most people, using mens electric shavers is usually enough to regulate face hair growth. Others may need more potent solutions to solve their facial hair problems. Whatever you choose, all of these methods are effective.
