Where to begin with how to cut hair is often an issue for those who want to become hairdressers. If you are a potential hairstylist you should be aware of some things. Cutting hair can be an art form, and every artist needs a nice clean canvas. If the hair you are about to cut is dirty and greasy, the first thing to do is wash it. Doing this will be a great aid when starting with the second step in which you will get your hair wet. Make sure to remove and tangles and knots by combing through the hair well. So how to cut hair?

One of the basic things you need ot do if you want to cut hair is to invest in a pair of scissors that is made specifically for cutting hair. You may find real cheap scissors at the drug store, but you should be aware that cheap scissors dull a lot easier and dull scissors will result in a dull cut. Please be aware that it is extremely important that you never use scissors you use for cutting hair for anything else. Other tools to stock up on for cutting hair would include combs, electric hair clipper, razors, hair clips, and a blow-dryer. You do not want to cause an infection, this is why you should sterilize all tools that get in contact with hair or skin.
Now divide the hair off using clips; to get an idea, eight sections with four sections on the top layer and four layer on the bottom will work best. No matter which hairstyle is cut, one of the most important rules is to cut only a little at a time. You should keep in mind that you can always cut off mor elater; but there is no way to do anything if it's cut to short. An all over one length cut is the easiest cut for beginners. For this type of cut begin with the section that is closest to the nape of the neck. Now release the hair from the clip and comb through the section.

 

Grab a one inch thick piece of the freed and comb through it. You should start by cutting off about1/8 inch pieces of hair, repeat until the desire length is reached. When you are done with this piece of the section, release it. After you have done this comb another piece of hair oyu already cut into a inch-sized piece; you should grab it about 1/4 of an inch from the bottom. Cut the rest of the combed section and use already cut pieces as a reference.

 

Repeat this for the rest of the sections of hair until the whole head is even and that is how to cut hair well.
