So how will be the game's content, if you do not make a standard MMOG?

- Well, we have enemies and the mission just as most massive online games, but we have focused on what we call the episodic content. Just as in the series and movies, we try to take players through various environments in the course of each game session.

- Okay, so most contracts will include, for example, a couple of different types of combat in the room and a couple of different types of combat on the ground?

- Yes, and not just combat. You're such a solar system and have been told that there is something strange there. You then fly around and explore and scan and find clues that could lead to a new area. Here you may trade with someone to get on before then can find enemies to fight.

- Are all these missions, ready-made, or do you have someone with random parameters and content?

- My example is a ready-made episode, but we have something we call the Genesis system, which will create random content for you. You can use this system when you move between areas of warp speed and get an overview of solar systems around.

- Yes, most of which are separate bodies, but we also have persistent areas that everyone can move freely in. We are also working on an optional system for agencies to make all open, so that more players can take part in them independent of each other if they so wish.

- Is it open to the battle between the two groups in these open areas and persistent?

We wanted to do something similar in the game also so that the places are more different from each other and easier to remember.

- When so much of the game is based on the TV series and movies, how difficult will it be for people to play if they do not know much about Star Trek universe?

- We do our best so that those who are not fans can also enjoy our history and like the game, and those who do not know much about Star Trek already has no disadvantages. But if you're already a fan so the game can give you another level of understanding, where such notice certain things that others might miss.

- The most important thing for all the massive online game is to keep their players for long. Specifically, how will you achieve this for Star Trek Online?

- In several ways. As a basis, we hope that the players think that Star Trek Online is a very fun game. We also have a high focus on what is called the final stage (end game) in the game, where we offer a lot of diversity, rather than, for example, only offer "raids".

- Here you can continue to explore through our genesis system that continuously will offer new content that no one before you has ever seen. You can participate in player-versus-player conflict as long as you want, and we have many systems that provide rewards for this. We also have conventional "raids" that provides the best equipment.

- Okay, so how important is when equipment in the Star Trek Online for example, when measured against the individual skills?

- This is something we are currently trying to find the right balance. We learn more about this all the time, then when the beta testing we will learn much more.

- I understand, but you must have a basic idea in the bottom? In a massive online game play equipment a huge role, while in other ports it more in the background.

- Yes. When it comes to the overall balance of the equipment will not be the most important thing in Star Trek Online, so it will not only be how well the equipment you have that determines how powerful you are.

It is not long until Star Trek Online will be launched and it meets a contest for players of massive online games that are harder than ever. There is no doubt that the game is based on an incredibly strong brand name, and that this probably will help the developer pretty much. There I tried the game in the room was definitely an excellent game experience. Fight between the spacecraft was very fun, challenging and interesting and it seemed really difficult to master.

I have still yet to disappoint a part when I say that fighting on the ground had a few of these properties. It seemed slow, the animations were poor and the action was not very interesting. Playing the system to run around on the ground and shoot with handguns looked simply awful outdated and almost amateurish. Here Cryptic Studios in my opinion a huge job ahead of him before the game to be released.

Finally, I would say anything that might annoy some Star Trek fans. I'm a big fan of science fiction. I do tons of Star Wars, Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica, but I've never been a fan of Star Trek. For me it seemed the series simply is not good enough. These are some of the same feeling I'm left with after the sneak peek at Star Trek Online as well. There is something missing that this really should be fine. I hope, however, the developer working on cutting up to the release to make special ground game a lot better, but I have my doubts that this will keep completely.
